With 2012 ready to kick-off, church congregations are preparing for new Sunday School classes. What better way to serve your congregation or class, than to have a guide ready to provide immediate answers for teaching people with special needs.
This book is a helpful reference for parents, but should also be required reading for leaders and teachers who have children with disabilities in their classes or Scout troops. Each page teaches love, patience, determination and respect for the "special spirits" that are part of your church family. This book will help parents and teachers come up with plans that will help the children in their ward family be participants in the gospel. - Hikari Loftus @ Deseret News
The award-winning book, (dis)Abilities and the Gospel, will help with topics such as taming behaviors, creating a routine, developing relationships and more.

Readers are raving about (dis)Abilities and the Gospel!
Each reviewer comes from a different walk of life and a variety of experiences involving people who have special needs. Some are parents, a few have friends with special needs, and others are church teachers serving members with an array of disabilities. Yet each reviewer has a common bond - the desire to learn how to help these individuals discover and enjoy the gospel in a way they understand. Note: Links will take you to the full review.

Finding a place for a child with special needs in a faith community is a major concern for many parents, and those communities have been slow in finding a way to be welcoming. (dis)Abilities and the Gospel comes to the rescue with reasonable, tested suggestions for making worship more inclusive. - Terri Mauro @ About.com Special Needs columnist
There could not be a better time for me to be reading this book. Six years ago our first child was diagnosed with special needs, a year later her brother was diagnosed with Asperger's, and this year our youngest child was diagnosed with autism. As a mother with experience in sensory processing, mood disorders, speech delays and ADD... I applaud both of the authors! They know what they are talking about. Their words are heart felt and well researched; their methods have been tried in the home and in the classroom. - Heather @ Fire and Ice by Little Red Reads
